Q: How to remove PIN code authentication from the SIM card?
A: Before to use the SIM card you need to disable PIN authentication. Use any GSM phone, just find PIN settings and follow the menu.

Q: I have Android phone, tried to configure the setup, but software is not recognizing the phone? Can I use Android phone?
A: Turn to your phone supplier for modem drivers. Most Android phones do not provide modem drivers to attach the phone as 3G modem. In contrast NOKIA provide drivers with PC Suite, and if you have Nokia you can use it (not sure about Windows Phones) because providing driver is part of Nokia company policy. However few Android phone manufacturer provide drivers too, like LG and Samsung for some models, but if you have not found modem driver for your phone then you are part of 80% people who don't have drivers. In that case you can't do much about it. That why we recommend to not use Android phone, to avoid situations just like this. Merely use USB 3G modem dongle (or non Android phone). Many operators give these devices free when selling a mobile internet, Huawei E3131 is very popular and cheap.

Q: Does it matter what 3G modem I use?
A: In general to send bulk SMS free doesn't matter what 3G modem you select. For example Huawei E3131 is good modem which we recommend. However, some modems, which we do not recommend, could be an issue or work unstable. If you feel difficulties opting a modem we advice you to get CybercomSMS + MODEM from us. Q: How long time will it take to broadcast bulk sms advertising of 1000 sms?
A: The speed of free bulk SMS service depends from your mobile operator network strength. Usually takes upto 1 second per SMS. Sometimes 1.5 second or 2 seconds. So if you generate a bunch of 1000 SMSes at once, and put maximum speed in Configure settings (Sleep per session 1 sec. and SMSes per session 16) then it will take a 1000 sms* 1sec. ≈ 17 minutes, or 25 minutes if the speed drop to 1.5 sec. per sms

Q: What is flash SMS?
A: It is on screen SMS a.k.a Class 0 message or system SMS. It pops opened on top of the screen automatically without any user action, is the first thing which user see after open the phone, whilst normal SMS goes in Inbox and show only New message alert and requires opening Inbox to read it. Q: Do you have SMS API for developers like ASP.net, MVC or PHP?
A: To send free SMS text messages from the Web use our open text communication interface, independent from program languages and environment, which allows developers implement bulk SMS service in any website project (on PHP, ASP.net, MVC etc.) with minimum efforts. Therefore, to send SMS, create a dedicated folder on your website accessible by ftp and secured with username and password. Then in your project on your program language write a code which create a plain text file with SMS text in this dedicated folder on your website, and your SMS will be sent and file will be deleted. Text file format is very simple: Phone Number, Time, and message text. It's similar for the inbound SMS as well. You can find received SMS as plain text file in the incoming dedicated folder in your website. Also you can see failed SMS in failed dedicated folder on your website and successfully sent SMS in sent dedicated folder in your website. Q: Do I need to open my website database for connections outside, to allow connecting from my PC?
A: No. Opening website database for connections from your PC is mostly deemed as security hole and therefore not advised, because it can be visible not only for your home PC, but for everyone else worldwide. However many competitors' SMS solutions require from you to open your database for direct connection outside, compromising your security. Besides, many websites hosting forbid database connections from outside which is problem for many others SMS solutions to work. Cybercom SMS software doesn’t need database connection from your PC and you don’t need to touch any settings in the website database.

Q: I am trying to integrate the SMS software with my website (php), can you please attach an example text file for sms sending from a website?
A: First you must install your 3G modem drivers (usually built into the dongle). The driver must assign some COM port to the modem. You will see it listed into Configure. Some modems dont install COM port drivers and you have to do this manually according manufacture instructions. To avoid such problems use Huawei E3131 or similar. If you have problem we can send you drivers for it. We recommend Huawei E3131 because is fast, very stable, gives hassle free installation with few clicks, and is cheap. But you can use every similar modem, just ensure it installs COM port drivers.

Before to connect to website try to make sure the installed software and modem is working. See this example file, put this file in X:\InstallDir\spool\outgoing\ on your PC. When is sent it will move in "\sent" if it is OK, or in "\failed" if sms fail. Dont forget to start the service, click "Start Desktop SMS" just for the test. About format:
REF: is your internal id,
NUM: phone number
TMS: date time in this format
FSH: flash SMS; 0-not flash SMS regular one; 1-flash SMS. For the test put this 0 because some mobile operators might refuse sending flash sms
And put whole text after, until end of file

About receiving sms format, it is almost the same, you will see it when receive some sms, see in X:\InstallDir\spool\incoming\

When you start the software it needs 2-3 minutes to initialize the modem, so when start the software it needs few minutes to start, then you can test. When the software will take and send the sms? See the "Sleep per session" timer, for the test put it on some low time for example few seconds.

If it is ok upto here, and your desktop send sms ok, then you can connect to your website. Click "Start Website SMS"
Make a ftp access to your web hosting (assume you must have ftp after you are building website). Upload on your ftp the spool directory with sub directories. Just take it from WebSMS module. Then upload on the ftp ...\spool\outgoing\ this test exmple file 18.txt
Now be sure your ftp is visible from your desktop, for the test just stop firewalls and etc.. open cmd, and type: (if you dont have ftp command you can install it additionally, it was in some windows install options, see your windows install CD or get it from microsoft website)

cd /SecondHandSale.com.au/wwwroot/spool (that's example path in your ftp where you put spool dir)

this will download all *.txt in your X:\InstallDir\spool\outgoing\ where SMS software will take it automatically and will send it. If this works ok, now you can put the ftp settings into Configure. Put the example path "/SecondHandSale.com.au/wwwroot/spool" into Spool Folder editbox. For more info see the video. You can connect upto 5 websites.
If you wonder what "Automatic SMS" settings do, if you enable it, it will just call your website as "www.SecondHandSale.com.au/generate" on every seconds set into "Browsing interval". This is useful in case your website don't generate the sms .txt in .../wwwroot/spool/outgoing automatically, then you can handle /generate flag and execute some SQL into your website to generate the all necessary sms .txt for sending. Most clients dont use this feature. It depends how you implement your website.

For .net website you can use our .net module WebSMS, but if you build php website, or if you dont want to use our WebSMS, then it is very easy to implement in your website to write every sms in separate .txt into your hosting dir ../wwwroot/spool/outgoing. And for incoming sms you need to read ../wwwroot/spool/incoming
